To provide the highest quality care for young children, it is important that teachers and staff are well trained. At Partners in Quality Care, our team members are dedicated to improving the wellbeing of young children throughout Minnesota. That is why we offer a variety of professional development training and technical support services for early childhood programs.
Our professional development programs helps teachers maintain and improve the care they provide for children, and will serve as an investment in your program for years to come.
All of our trainings and professional development are offered by approved instructors and meet the training requirements under the Minnesota Quality Improvement and Registry Tool. Partners in Quality Care also offers consultation and technical assistance for quality rating and accreditation.
Here is a look at some of the professional development opportunities and resources that are available for your program through Partners in Quality Care:
Early Childhood Training
Our team members offer in-person training and webinars geared toward early childhood learning, as well as health and nutrition for adults and children of all ages.
Training topics include the state of Minnesota’s Child Care Rule 3 Licensing standards, first aid and CPR training, Minnesota state required child care trainings, opportunities to be reimbursed for healthy meals and snacks through the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and nutrition guidelines for meals and snacks at your program.

First Aid and CPR
Every early childhood program in Minnesota is required to have employees with official first aid and CPR training. These skills are crucial in an emergency to ensure the wellbeing of the children who are in your care.
Our staff members are certified American Red Cross first aid and CPR instructors. We offer both new certification courses for new employees as well as recertification for staff who have previously taken first aid and CPR courses.
Child Adult Care Food Program training
If your child care center participates in the CACFP, you need to follow nutrition standards for meals and snacks you provide in order to be reimbursed by the state.
Our team members have a list of free nutrition resources you can use for your center. We also provide training for staff, as well as guidance for how to enroll in the program.
